What is Project Pi r2?
Sustained Teacher Professional Development in Science for K-8 teachers which includes:
- Community Resources Summer Workshop
- Academic Year Inquiry Sessions in Life Science and Earth and Space Science
- Educational Outreach in your classroom
Why Project Pi r2?
- $300 teacher stipend
- A wealth of standards-aligned, high quality curricular materials
- 9 hours of free outreach programming for your classroom from Toledo Zoo, Toledo Area Metroparks, Sauder Village and others!
- Optional BGSU graduate credit available (at an additional cost)

Community Resources Summer Workshop
- June 15-19, 2009 - daily field trips to educational providers around the region including:
- Lourdes College Theater Vision and Life Lab, 5/3 Field Mudhens Stadium, Toledo Museum of Art, and Challenger Learning Center

Outreach Sessions
- Scheduled at the teacher’s convenience during the school day (October-May) providing science resource specialists with materials in your classroom with everything from live animals and plants to STARLAB, the portable planetarium.
